Bassam Mahfouz

Board member, London Waste and Recycling Board

To welcome Fixfest participants to London, we invited Bassam Mahfouz, who is a Labour councillor in Ealing, as well as a Board member of the London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB), and an avid cyclist. Bassam grew up in the area he represents, and works for a London housing association, managing their employment and enterprise programmes. While at LWARB, the London-wide body promoting resource efficiency, Bassam has focused his efforts on the “circular economy”, defining what it means for a city the size of London, and how it can be supported.
