Want to share your work or propose a session? Here’s how…

Just like our community repair events, Fixfest is DIY and people-centered. Fixfest UK will be no different.

We’re planning an exciting range of sessions covering a range of topics, from building local ecosystems of repair through to the Right to Repair. But as usual, we’ll embrace the spirit of ‘unconference’, leaving lots of space for you to shape the programme and run sessions you think are interesting.

There are a few different ways to share your work, ask questions or propose sessions at Fixfest UK…

Run a short unconference session on the day

There will be open spaces in the programme throughout the day for you to run short ‘unconference’ sessions on a topic you find interesting or want to share. You’re welcome to team up with others too.

And if you don’t want to run a full session, you’ll also be able to give a 5 minute ‘lightning talk’ to briefly share what you’ve been working on.

You will be able to sign up for these slots on the day.

Propose a session for the main programme

If you would like to run a longer session that is included in the programme in advance, we are accepting proposals. Simply complete the form by pressing the button below.

Note: the deadline for submissions has now closed. However, the Community Repair Network are planning to run a series of online talks/workshops to follow up from Fixfest UK. If we can’t accommodate your session in the main Fixfest UK programme, we may offer you one of these post-Fixfest UK online sessions.

Display posters, flyers, banners

We want Fixfest UK to be a joyful celebration of community repair across the UK. That also means making the space feel vibrant and alive. So in addition to speaking opportunities, we will also provide spaces to display posters, hang banners and share printed materials in the main lobby. Feel free to bring these along with you.

Note: if you have larger items to display, please aim to arrive promptly at 9:30am to allow time to set them up. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions.
